Do you have Pandemic Pores?
Stress, unusual schedule, and disrupted sleep have left several of my clients suffering with what I’m calling “Pandemic Pores” or “Maskne” where the stress inside our bodies has started showing up on the outside. While I can’t end the pandemic nor make all of the stress go away, I can share some tips to help you maintain healthy-looking skin during these times.
Three signs you have Pandemic Pores
- Dry, dehydrated skin- flaking, dryness, and tightness are all signs your skin isn’t getting enough moisture. Our pores can’t function properly when our skin is not adequately hydrated. Quick fix: Bump up your moisturizer with an added hydrating serum or non-pore clogging facial oil. Eminence has a lovely Stone Crop Hydrating Gel, Marine Flower Peptide Serum, or Rosehip Triple C +E Firming Oil.
- Blackheads emerging- Your pores are getting full of excess oil and debris if you can see blackheads on your face. While we can’t reduce pore size, we can reduce the appearance of their size by keeping them clean. Quick fix: Get back on track with your morning and evening skin care routine. Use a beautiful oil cleanse: Eminence Stone Crop Cleansing Oil followed by the Mangosteen Daily Resurfacing Cleanser and Mangosteen Revitalizing Mist (this can be used throughout the day to help with breakouts).

- Jawbone Acne- Whatever happens on your chin and jawbone, know it is connected to your hormones. Heightened levels of stress and anxiety can cause these types of breakouts. Quick fix: add an acne spot treatment to blemishes. Eminence Clear Skin Booster is a great choice. Take time to meditate, exercise, walk, read, unplug, or whatever makes you slow down. Create a daily time to sit back and enjoy a cup of herbal tea or infused water. Drink, drink, drink lots of water!
Adding these quick fixes will help you get your pandemic pores and skin craziness under control.
